WOODY’S MOVIE The glory of it – Woody’s movie, a part, albeit tiny, but lines, no less – five, but still. To an actor, to be in a Woody Allen movie is the best. I have a week here, though only 3 hours will be needed to film my tiny part in Woody’s movie. I have a trailer, no less, at Madison and 78th. It’s in my neighborhood, so all my friends wander by looking wonderfully chic and elegant. Nannies pass with Sophie and Gigi in tow – big pink bows in their hair. Helena and Karin wander past shopping. Marcie comes and spends hours chatting with me and my new handsome, handsome best friend Bill who is from the West Side. It is Bill who I rushed out of my trailer to help when I heard a loud wail my first morning. He could have been dying, but when he opened his door to his trailer he brushed aside any physical problem and showed me his line in the movie. He had to ask the plastic surgeon for a penis implant, for an extra few inches. He had only seen the script minutes before as that is how "Woody" does it -- you get your lines for your part when you arrive. Bill and I became fast friends -- even though the plastic surgeon turned him down. By Tina |
