THE TOOTHBRUSH AND THE VOYEUR I always open my bathroom window and look out over Park Avenue toward the Regency Hotel as I brush my teeth. As all of us who use electric toothbrushes know, this dental hygienic stuff takes 6-7 minutes. I held the toothbrush and stared out the window over a garden our super, Super Joe had created where the garbage was normally stowed. My light was on and I was in my Lanz nightie as I gazed and brushed. I noticed an extremely sturdy masculine woman at the gate to the garden and I wondered why she was waiting to be let in. I could not see her as a messenger or help. Then as I bent over the basin I realized she was staring at me. I jerked up to be sure and she was staring at me. I turned off the light and sneakily looked out again, believing she didn’t see me. She looked, walked away two steps and came back. We were playing Hide & Seek. By Tina |
