Daddy, who is 88 and in great shape, was in the Navy in World War II. He was the Executive Officer on an LST. I have pictures of him in his uniform and all I know of that time in his life is that he was very handsome. Since I have not researched what an LST is (I mean, I know it was a big boat and stands for Landing Ship for Tanks), I can easily imagine that he was telling Patton and Ike what to do. My Daddy probably won the war by making the strategic decisions that helped Churchill plan D-Day, helped stop Rommell in the desert and helped turn the tide at the Battle of the Bulge. Since most WWII veterans are gone now, he could rewrite history with hidden documents showing how instrumental he was. I mean he is my Daddy and like every daughter will tell you, their Daddy is the world’s greatest hero.
